They don't include strategic advisory, and they're built primarily for accountants to deliver to their clients rather than for the owner-manager directly. ValueAmp is configured to your specific reporting lines and KPIs, includes hands-on senior finance leadership, and is delivered as a single subscription.
A fractional CFO typically charges £600–£1,400 per day and gives you advice — but you still have to run your own reporting infrastructure (which, for most SMEs, is weak). The platform integrates natively with Xero (live) and is being extended to Sage and MS Dynamics. We also import from Excel where direct integration isn't yet available. Most SMEs are on Xero or QuickBooks, and onboarding from those takes typically two to four weeks.

The sweet spot is £2m–£50m turnover. Below £2m, the value proposition is harder to justify against a basic accountant and Xero. Above £50m, you typically need a permanent CFO and an enterprise BI stack — though we still serve PE portfolio companies and pre-IPO clients in that bracket on the Intelligence tier.
Standard subscription terms are 12 months with a six-month break clause. We don't believe in long lock-ins — if it's not working we'd rather you tell us early so we can fix it or part ways amicably.
